Those of you who haven’t had a stint in Asia may find McDull bewildering. We follow a mother trying to mold her young son by revealing to him the true origin of his good-for-nothing father, a basic what-not-to-do situation. The elder McDull was formerly a prince of pinapple buns who lost his way from his suspiciously Super-Mario like kingdom and, after having his fill of the mundane day-to-day grind of life, he runs out on young McDull's mother to win back a way to his kingdom. What seems like a random group of scenarios actually belies a hilarious satire - if you understand a mother’s desire to arm her child with the best education/tools available to handle the sometimes absurd aspects of life as well as secure a future for herself and her family. The mega tight animation and snappy dialogue and wit makes this one a winner.
If after all that you still feel kinda confused, you will at least walk out of this one with a reminder to listen to yo’ mama.
