Aboriginal Hip Hop Concert - Cris Derksen & Rapsure Risin


A young aboriginal cellist who mish-mashes hip-hop, rock, folk, and country + a hip hop group representing the Sto:lo Nation = Cris Derksen + Rapsure Risin performing @ the UBC Musuem of Anthropology this Saturday afternoon.
Cris Derksen is the young aboriginal cellist, who has collaborated with musicians far and wide, including Kinnie Starr and Kanye West. Rapsure Risin is made up of Carrielynn Victor (aka Numinous) and Theresa Point (aka T MelaD), who write and perform their own music for clubs, workshops, festivals, and Native youth in their own communities.
