The Squishy Pillow with a second life – MOGU products

“It All Started with a Bead" is the tagline behind MOGU’s pillows and products. If you haven’t hugged a MOGU pillow yet, go out and find one! The squishy beads inside create a unique touch-sensation with its pliable, supple cover.
Be warned, the first time you feel (feel up is more like it!) a Mogu pillow, the sensation is so unique that you'll end up fondling it over and over...plumping it up with your hands, squishing and punching, and mooshing it to death. It doesn't mind...after all that's what it's there for!
The little beads were created in 2000 by Japanese businessman Yoshinobu Ishida, the young president of Ebisukasei Inc.(the parent company of MOGU), a humanitarian and environmentally conscious manufacturing company in Osaka, Japan.
The beads are created from recycled beads left over from making bike helmets! The first Pom-Pom cushions he designed flew off the shelves in Japan, with one store selling more than 300 in a single day.
More:
Americans can find MOGU products readily at Urban Outfitters and Brookstone, but Canadians have to order online on the MOGU website (HERE) or search on eBay Canada or Amazon.
