Matisyahu - Heb Steady
Last year, it was M.I.A.'s global guerrila mashup that had everyone in the music world talking like mad. This year, it may be America's newest reggae star, Matisyahu, who, as you can tell by the pic, isnt of any Caribbean descent but a full fledged Hasidic Jew (so, no the beard aint to bite ZZ Top or Rick Rubin).
Complete with a spiritual awakening during a trip to Israel and incorporating traditional Hebrew psalms to Trenchtown riddums to Bronx style beat-boxing, Matisyahu has his own blend of music and message to share unto the world.
