Make your own film in 1 day! - SUPER 8 FILM HAND PROCESSING WORKSHOP



Shoot a film in a day, process it in the evening and watch it that very night! To learn how, come to the SUPER 8 FILM HAND PROCESSING WORKSHOP at Blim Studios on Saturday, May 20th from 11am-6pm. Experimental filmmaker Venus Soberanes will instruct you on the magic of SUPER 8 FILM; she “believes in film as an art medium and promotes its democratic use by showing people how to hand process their own films”. Can’t ask for a better instructor, can you?

About the instructor: Venus Soberanes is a visual artist, photographer, and experimental filmmaker, whose work has screened at international festivals in Montreal and Germany. The Mexican-born Soberanes currently splits her time between Mexico City and Vancouver. She holds a BFA in Film Production at Concordia University, a Fine Arts degree with a specialization in photography, and a variety of multimedia, video and film hand-processing courses.
