Jean-George's new Chinese restaurant

"Finally tried Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Chinese restaurant 66 last night. I've been curious to taste JGV's take on Chinese food ever since it opened. I went in with high hopes since I happen to think that for a city so obsessed with Chinese food (and with so many Chinese people), New York sure has a lot of crappy Chinese restaurants. In fact, one of my least favorite things to hear from friends is: "Hey! Let's eat Chinese tonight!""

Jean-Georges Vongerichten, a top French chef in NYC, who has also opened Thai and Indian inspired shops, is now tackling Chinese food. As much as I would love to applaud such multicultural efforts and ambitions, my trusted gourmand YuSheng gave it a lack luster review. Sounded like it was just a regular Chinese restaurant but packaged prettier and WAY more expensive. Jean-George expensive, to be exact.
