Fried Dough from Around the World
Here's how you know those Atkins people are nuts... people from all over the world since the beginning forever, have been putting sugar/flour and any and all combinations of the allegedly evil, evil carbs into hot oil, drowning it in sugar and eating it up.
Call them dougnut, call them Assaleak (Alaska), call them Farutas (Portugal), call them Koeksisters (Africa), call them the orgasmic light of St. Krispy Kreme, call them whatever you like... I, ala Alton, call them... Good Eats.
