Giant Robot interview

NYT interviews the founders of Giant Robot. Martin Wong and Eric Nakamura talk about opening their own restaurant, lame asian actors in mainstream movies, and being a fan boy/stalker. Hey, people in the magazine world... heads up, they have a staff of um... five (themselves included). Man, they are so punk rock.

Anyone that makes 'Bruce Made Tapes' shirts deserve props in itself (http://secure.giantrobot.com/products.php?code=BMTT). But this magazine has set a bench mark in the North American Asian community in my opinion.

Sure, its an 'Asian American' mag but its more just Giant Robot. It has remarkably developed its own style while being 'Asian' still. As it says its "Asian pop-culture" but "and Beyond."

My personal favourite issue was a music issue from a couple years back featuring Money Mark, DJ Krush, the Beat Junkies, Cibo Matto, etc.
