As part of our fandom of Mr. French Taste on Koldcast TV, we've been running a series of our own, spotlighting the series' cast, Sarah Lian, Osric Chau, and guest stars Celina Jade (Episode 1) and Nadia Hatta (Episode 6), and the series' director, Jennifer Thym.
Nadia Hatta shares with Schema Magazine her three favorite outfits from Mr. French Taste, while Jordana Mah (justj.ca), Schema Magazine's favourite fashion blogger, provides a little fashion commentary.
Nadia Hatta's character on Mr. French Taste is often seen in classic, retro-glam styles, but in this outfit we get a glimpse of what her character wears during her down-time. This silky-mauve top goes beautifully against her perfectly porcelain skin, while the yellow accents impart a really nice visual contrast. Mauve is such a fantastic neutral for Asians—definitely try mauve for clothing and as an eyeshadow to make yourself glow!
Here Nadia looks like an angel in this fail-safe combo of lace and pearls. Complete with demure little diamond studs this outfit is sure to win you job interviews, romantic suitors, and potential in-laws. Either she is trying to look prissy and sophisticated, or she is trying to look innocent and get away with something—I hope it's the latter!
I love this outfit here as it's retro and super girly—just my style. Not many people could pair a pink and mauve dress with royal purple pumps, but Nadia pulls it off with flair to spare. Also, I love how the stylists made sure this retro outfit followed the retro rule of matching Nadia's purse to her shoes, which shows that they pay attention to detail. Finally fur is always a style favourite and this fur jacket manages to give off the luxury of fur, while furthering that sense of fun with its over-sized hood and slightly sherpa texture.
Since we're talking fashion, Nadia's passion for jewelry can be seen in her handmade designer line, Rock'N.
