Ever heard of a great idea on paper, but gone horribly wrong in reality? The stationary-bicycle-powered shower is one of them. So is a lickable elevator. You know, an elevator that not only gives you the option to go up and down, but to lick Jaffa Cakes. Yeah, I've never heard of those cakes either.

Inspired by Ronald Dahl's Willy Wonka, the company called McVitie's (yes, the producers of McVitie's digestive biscuits) have created the world's first lickable elevator in a London-based office elevator. While enjoying your ride to your destination, you can choose from one of the 1,325 Jaffa Cakes on the elevator walls to lick, nibble, spit, and sneeze on.

Did a 10-year-old come up with this idea? Because this has unhygienic practices written all over it. How do you feel about licking something that a stranger has licked before you? It's like peeing in a toilet that is already filled with a stranger's pee. Does that sound appealing to you? I highly doubt it does. But if licking things that are filled with germs and god knows what else jives with you, why not just lick a library book or door knobs?

I hope that this is the world's first and only lickable elevator.
