How to get a (frightening) tiny robot version of yourself

LittleIslandrobot3.jpgThere's a company in Japan called "Little Island" and if you send them a picture of yourself along with about $2000, they will send you your very own custom robot "mini-me". As cool as it sounds, the robot child, unfortunately, is going to look like something that would result after a scandalous night with Chucky.

However, the 40cm robot includes a 500 mHz computer running windows XP (just without the monitor, and keyboard etc.). It also includes a webcam, speakers, touch sensors, multiple servos, a power cord, and an ethernet cord. You can also teach it to engage in conversation, read your RSS feeds, and make VOIP calls!
