Make Your Own Lucha Libre Mask | Monday, Oct 27, 2008 | Vancouver

maskworkshop.jpgCan't think of what costume to wear on Halloween? Then perhaps this'll help...Blim presents a workshop where you can make and customize your own Lucha Libre wrestling mask. Lucha Libre (Spanish for "free wrestling") is a form of professional wrestling performed in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Lucha Libre wrestlers -- known as Luchadores -- are known for their crazy moves and equally crazy and colourful masks (mascaras).

Blim even adds a bit of cache to its Lucha Libre mask workshop by stating: "Masks (mascaras) have been used dating back to the beginnings of Lucha Libre and have a historical significance to Mexico dating back to the days of the Aztecs." Now, come on, a great tidbit to break out when you're out at a Halloween shindig wearing this mask...
