Living in a media-addicted world where TV and magazines still present whiteness as the predominant benchmark for desire, it's not surprising to hear Asian Canadian (and American) men talk about their dream of (or brag about) dating a white woman.
Media has come a long way since the 80's and 90's, but just in case you haven't gotten over that secret obsession, or just refuse to give up despite all the rejection, you can still buy the book: How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men. Read the sample of truly funny "reader testimonials" here -- obviously fake viral marketing that was later removed form Amazon.com.Ever since yellow-centric blogger Angry Asian Man noted this bizarre book (it's gotta be a joke, right?) -- "How To Date A White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men" by one Adam Quan -- it's generated some of the most hilarious, gut-busting comments in Amazon this side of the western blogosphere ...
Despite hitting the blogosphere in 2004, there's something hilariously timeless about this book. At the same time, it's disturbingly confrontational in reminding us that there are in fact men who aspire to prove (mostly to themselves) that they're equally desirable ... by having a white-partner. But not you, right?
The fact that such a book exists leaves me speechless. I didn’t realize there was a demand by asian men to seek out specifically white women. Perhaps it’s a backlash against the perceived phenomenon of white men "stealing" asian women. This is absolute hilarity.From haacked.com. Check out the great comments.

...because anything less would be, you know, uncivilized. Amazon has since fixed this search "irregularity."
That's hilarious. As funny as the fake posts promoting how this book changed their lives.
Give it another couple years and this book will become an urban legend.
