« Cinco de Mayo | May 5 = tequila, tequila, tequila | Main | Creative transportation around the world »
CBC Media archivist ANU SAHOTA brings to life flashback treasures exclusively found in the CBC Archives through a daily blog. Throughout the month of May, CBC's Asian Heritage Month archive blog "will feature excerpts from CBC Radio and Television programs of the past with the aim of complementing the many AHM events scheduled across the country."
For those who have been looking for the true spirit of Asian Heritage Month, check out the wonderful clips that have captured the stories, history and experiences of Canadians of Asian descent ... including those who have rejected being pigeon-holed as "Asian Canadian." Anu's first blog post features a clip from a 1958 episode of a television documentary Here and There that follows Darshan Singh Gill, a young Sikh man newly arrived to Victoria, B.C. Enjoy Anu's daily dose of Asian heritage at cbc.ca/asianheritage.
